On Tuesday Judy and I went trekking round the park to see if any cattle had been left behind. We didn't see any cattle but lots of wildlife. I can't begin to list them all they all have so many names but we saw elephants, eland, zebras (very grumpy and unfriendly creatures) and giraffes. I had the most amazing times but we were out a long time 7am - 10.30am.
After riding we went out to take some pictures with Katherine's parents who have come over from America (Cindy and Rick). Again I was very lucky to see more wildlife.
Dad will be so impressed...next we went to the school to help with their vegetable garden. No Dad I will not be helping when I got home!! Gardening is a club activity for all children. They also have clubs for sport and building too. The school had a variety of things growing such as bananas, peaches, nuts, tomatoes, lettuce, apples and much more! They have very long days at school starting at 7.30am and finishing at 4pm. Many of the children walk very long distances to get there (20km for some) which means getting up at 4am sometimes!!!The girls are also required to cut their hair short as it is part of their uniform.
That was the end of my day on Tuesday. No hippo stalking us from the reeds while we were in the shower this time, phew!!
